JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical Supply Chain Planner to manage production and material planning activities. This challenging role requires quick thinking, intelligence, existing knowledge, and is essential to maintaining optimal inventory levels, aligning demand with capacity, and ensuring on-time delivery of customer orders. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to support a smooth and cost-effective production workflow.

Location: On-site – Torrance, CA (This is not a remote position)

BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory status.
  • Create and manage work orders and material requirements through the MRP system.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to support on-time production and fulfillment.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to resolve material constraints and scheduling conflicts.
  • Analyze demand trends and supplier lead times to optimize safety stock and planning strategies.
  • Coordinate and implement engineering changes that impact production schedules.
  • Communicate production updates, material shortages, and schedule changes to internal stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on accuracy, lead time reduction, and inventory optimization.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & KNOWLEDGE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field required, with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • or Associate’s degree, with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM, Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are preferred and considered a plus.
  • 2–5 years of experience in production or material planning in a manufacturing or regulated environment (e.g., electronics, medical device, aerospace).
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with manufacturing resource planning (MRP/ERP) systems (SAGE or equivalent is preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining a LOB (Line of Balance) for material of production assemblies.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
SKILLS, ABILITIES, & ATTRIBUTES:
  • Ability to interpret demand forecasts, BOMs, and production schedules
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills; demonstrated proficiency working with large data sets
  • Must be able to work in a challenging and engaging work environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, accountability, and professional development.
  • Ability to commit and work under deadlines
  • Willingness and demonstrated ability to self-learn and work in new technology domains.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational abilities
  • Highly self-motivated.

PAY RANGE:
  • Hourly: $31.25 ($65,000) - $36.05 ($75,000)
Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
